I’m Sarah (She/Her)
nutrition therapist, author, and founder of feel safe with food

I'm an anti-diet Registered Holistic Nutritionist®, Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, and Somatic Experiencing® Student (Intermediate level) in private practice since 2014. To specialize in eating concerns, I completed multiple body image and eating disorder trainings, 100+ hours of my own therapy, and 100+ hours of professional supervision. My orientation is anti-oppressive, weight-inclusive/fat positive, and collaborative, and I use a combination of therapy models and approaches in my practice to help you to have an easy relationship with food. I'm also an approved NEDIC service provider.

I also struggled with disordered eating, negative body image, and over-exercise for 15 years. I understand first-hand what it's like to hate your body and obsess over food. Even though I love Intuitive Eating, implementing it as written was a hard pass. I knew I needed a more embodied approach to fully make peace with food and my body...which brought me to trauma-integrated (somatic) nutrition work.

Diets aren’t sustainable over the long term, but so many of us don’t know how to eat without food rules to follow.
